A humble and honest poet, Jody McKenna delivers beautifully crafted acoustic music inspired by songwriters of all eras, from Dylan to Bright Eyes.

His third album ‘Eastbound’ is a result of being holed up in a studio with friend and producer Rob Burgess over countless sessions, fuelled by white Russian’s and games of Chess. The result is Jody’s best body of work yet. It feels bold and confident with production qualities to match. A poet and musician who has made his biggest statement so far within 13 solid tracks.

Eastbound takes you aboard a Dylan-esque folk train pulling in modern sounds of big drums and guitars then stripping back to one man and his voice. But this isn’t a carbon copy folk album.. it’s modern and eclectic in production and vision. Jody’s carefully crafted songs layer beautifully haunting harmonies on top of subtle and well thought out instrumentations.

Producer and friend Rob Burgess has helped bring to life Jody’s vision and the result is a beautiful modern folk album which deserves your attention.
